Aims and topics:
Small model organisms are powerful tools to understand the principle of neural mechanisms by dissecting complicated structures of the nervous systems. In terms of "information processing" and "neuronal health", we discuss some specific problems of neuroscience, and how to tackle the problems by maximizing the advantages of small model organisms. The goal of the workshop is to bring outstanding researchers worldwide together to discuss the challenges related to these topics. This workshop will also be an important opening ceremony for newly launched Neuroscience Institute that will be established in this coming April in Nagoya University. We would like to make the workshop as a place for fruitful discussions and promoting potential collaborative works.
